Hier eine geniale Idee aus dem Buch “Nomadic Furniture” von Victor Papanek und James Hennessey – der WORK CUBE. Die Living Cubes sind als Anregung für Raum in Raum Lösungen angedacht. Papanek bedient sich an dieser Stelle an einem Zitat von Picasso:
“When you make a thing, a thing that is new, it is so complicated making it that it is bound to be ugly. But those people that make it after you, they don’t have to worry about making it. And they can make it pretty, and so everybody can like it when the others make it after you…”

Recyling Design in den Stilwerken

März 2011 – Bereits zum zweiten Mal zeigt stilwerk den vielbeachteten Recycling Designpreis. Dieser etwas andere Designaward prämiert Produkte von Nachwuchsdesignern, die aus recycelten Materialien entworfen und produziert wurden. Vom 1. Juni bis 9. Juli 2011 ist die Ausstellung parallel zum „DMY International Design Festival“ im stilwerk Berlin zu sehen und wandert danach vom 7. August bis zum 5. September 2011 in das Düsseldorfer stilwerk. Im Oktober wird die Ausstellung zu guter Letzt im neuen stilwerk Wien zu sehen sein, anlässlich des Kulturevents „Vienna Design Week“. see more
